Director of Operations
Eli is an accomplished hospitality industry professional, experienced in International brands, casual dining, QSR, fine dining, franchising, launching brands in new markets, and other restaurant environments. He has a record of excellence in devising and implementing productivity and cost improvements that contribute to positive financial results while improving the guest experience. Eli is a 20 year veteran of the hospitality industry and is a well-respected executive in the field. He specializes in turnaround of under-performing operations, implementing purchasing and inventory control systems that lower operating costs, establishment of policies that recruit, develop and retain employees, and reducing labor costs through structured training programs and efficient staff deployment. He has extensive experience in food service environments in both the front and back of the house.
He started his career in the US working with various brands such as Bob Evans and Applebee’s Bar and Grill. He then moved to the GCC in 2012 as part of the team launching The Cheesecake Factory globally with Alshaya. Recently he orchestrated the global launch for The Habit Burger Grill, opening the first two locations outside the continental USA less than 50 days apart, while managing a portfolio of other brands.
At RMAL Hospitality, Eli manages over 275 employees and 20 managers, overseeing a business with revenues of AED 95 million. His skills in motivation, evaluating brand value and implementing strategies that improve operations and increase revenue is an invaluable addition to the team.
Eli completed his BA in Economics and Business Management from the University of Kentucky and acquired his MBA in 2009.
